You can only go in the foyer but it was worth it for the photos. The foyer is amazing just through the revolving doors. The marble and art deco. Go see it, it costs nothing to go in the entrance!! and its right next door to the grand central station side entrance
Wow. From the entrance doors to the elevator doors to the lobby walls and ceiling. Fantastic. A must see if your into architecture or just art for that matter. No problem taking pictures of anything as another reviewer had problems. We got there after morning rush hour.
Don't miss Grand Central Terminal 2 blocks away and the New York City...

Beautiful building to see and experience. Good photo opportunities down the street rather than outside the entrance.
Other than TOTR and ESB, this is another awesome building that one cannot miss during the visit in NYC.

This is my favorite building in New York to look at. At night or during the day, it is stunning. Take the time to walk through the lobby for a history lesson of the buildings. Access beyond the lobby is limited to employees and their visitors but the lobby is free for quick visit.
Like - The title says it all - a masterpiece of design that NY sadly never recreated. On the other hand though, the beauty of NY is that it's always reinventing itself. Dislike - unable to view inside. Location makes it difficult to get a good angle to photograph it's full glory.
Great history to the building, but in terms of View the Empire state building is better if more expensive.
Amazing building, outside and in. If you're a fan of art deco then you'll go nuts here! Absolutely stunning really.
This beautiful building can only really be appreciated from the outside. I did venture inside, however you are restricted to the entrance lobby. The lobby does have some beautiful art deco architectural elements and is beautifully finished in marble, however there isn't very much to see or do here. It's for this reason I've given it 4 out of 5.
