Wow! What a rush. I've seen five planetariums in my time but not like this one. Whoppi's voice was awesome for the task and you felt like you were in space. I agree, the seats are not laid back enough.

This is one place I will not get tired of! The show is so awesome it can give one goosebumps! One can imagine oneself floating in space among the stars. I wish the seats could lean back for the best viewing position... There are more to see and do as this is within the museum. This is, hands-down, a place... More

We went with a 7 and 9 year old. This was their first trip to a planetarium, and they had a great time. Certainly a great activity for young children in New York, especially on a day with poor weather. This is of couse within the museum, so plenty of other attractions to see before and after the planetarium.

I took the kids there for a special IMAX show. It was the highlight of a great day where we also visited the Statue of Liberty.

The show was the highlight of our visit. Whoopi Goldberg is great to listen to. The rest of the exhibits were impressive as usual but i wish we didn't ahve to keep walking through gift shops to get around teh building.

The planetarium is awe inspiring. From the planet-shaped space theatre within a glass-cube building, to the walkway that reveals the universe from 10^26 down to 10^-26 it is fascinating and highly entertaining. While you are there, I highly recommend extending your visit to the other exhibits: the IMAX show of the Monarch Butterfly migration is a moving mini movie that... More

My grandson and I went to the presentation at the Hayden Planetarium in April. He was thrilled with the scene "coming from the roof." Whoopi Goldberg is an engaging narrator and the images were spectacular. The facility is well organized and it was an easy entry. The Rose Science center has exhibits that are interesting for all in the family.... More
