The swamp trail across from the beach is such a contrast to the beach it has to be seen to be belived. Make sure to read the information at the trail head before you set out and wear good shoes.

One of the best beaches on the Cape. Unique with high cliffs and expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean. Moderate surf. Good perspective of dunes and fragile ecosystem.

My girls wanted to go there every evening to hunt for shells! We saw oysters being harvested and beautiful sunsets.

Although most people will come here in the summer, off season it is a great place too. The wilder weather creates big seas that you can hear from some way off and wash ashore a variety of interesting things - some natural, some man made. Light pollution is an increasing nuisance even on the outer cape but the parking lot at night hasb nearly 360 uninstructed views and minimal local lights. Worth the visit.

A small model of the tower, and a steel guidewire are all that remains of Marconi's transmitter. Erosion has caused the original towers to collapse and a snow fence keeps vistors from getting too close to the edge of the cliffs. Beautiful view. Trails.

He had never heard of Marconi, but my friend from Italy was blown away by the remains of the first cross-Atlantic wireless transmitter built by his countryman. A nice glimpse of history perched on a dune cliff above the beach - very cool.
