Love to trail-run here, open stretches (flat, all though sometimes sandy, rather a pain) intermixed with some hills, watch your footing on rocks in various parts of the trails not to twist an ankle. Moderate difficulty.

Mission trails is located in the east part of Mission Valley. It's very big so make sure to use the buddy system. Great to bring your dogs and make a day of it.
