We love to go to the park and ride the train. It is a nice little ride and it is cheap. Also, the other places for the kids to play are great too, the animal sculptures are always fun for them. Plus the rose garden is a nice little walk. More

They have recently upgraded the playground equipment near the mini-train station, and my kids loved it. We also went through the rose garden recently, and the flowers are beautifully kept. The best part is the cost -- except for admission to the zoo and swimming pool, and tickets for the train or carousel, it's all free. More

Spacious park with great flower displays, good small child play park area. Train and carosel are seasonal. Pool is typical waterpark type, but a good value for the money. Zoo is 'ok'. o more no less. This is a great well maintained park in the middle of the city. I have never witnessed any sort of crime or felt uncomfortable there. The one thing I will warn you about is sometimes those clowns from the westboro baptist church are standing around the edge of the park protesting whatever their latest cause is.
