Had a book that told us what to look for at each mile marker. Would highly recommend "Guide to the Natchez Trace Parkway" second edition by Bachleda. I think we would have missed many things if not for the book. Most of all, take the time to enjoy and imagine the history as you walk some of the old Trace. More

Beautiful, tree-lined, tranquil well-preserved historical, mostly litter-free parkway without power lines. every year my family had a tradition, the first sunday of spring we would eat lunch after church then take a drive on the trace for hours, my grandparents we special people and enjoyed the peace and beauty of the driving through the woods on the Natchez Trace Parkway. More
