Barleys is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to hang out. Very comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff. Good selection of craft beers and plenty of seating. There is a second, smaller bar upstairs with pool tables and darts. I've eaten here twice, each time nonplussed. I have yet to try the pizza, which I've been told several times is... More

This is a great place to go. The pizza is quite good, close to Brooklyn style especially for the SE. I found it to be much better than the pizza just up the street at circle in the square (less greasy with still a solid crust). The beer selection is great and remains what it was initially set up to... More

I've been to Barley's twice during 2 different trips to Asheville. The food isn't anything special. I've tried the pizza and calzones, and while the ingredients seemed fresh, the favors didn't do much for me. The atmosphere is great, service can be slow, and they have a fantastic selection of beers.

Close to Aloft Hotel, kid friendly, good prices. Food was just so-so though. Lots of good beers to choose from!

We went here with a group of friends. The casual, low key atmosphere was nonthreatening, so I didn't feel like I had to turn on my high-society manners. The wait staff too was casual, yet incredibly nice and efficient too. We ordered a couple of pizzas for everyone, and had a great time dining and laughing, as most people in... More

Went with some family to this bar for lunch one day. All I had was the garlic knots, which were delicious. Also had several of their beers there, and i didn't have a bad one. mainly the local Oktoberfest beers, but the selection was incredible. Pool hall upstairs, nice touch. Great music, too. I have already suggested this place to... More

This great place in downtown Asheville has lots to offer. Located in a beautiful 1800s building right downtown, the pizza was just right: crispy crust, flavorful sauce, lots of great toppings, and well priced. Now let's talk beer ... maybe 75 bottles, both domestic and international choices. Tap beers offered the most interesting options. The two we had couldn't have... More

Helpful service. Delicious food (we both had the calzones). Wonderful beer selection if you like REAL beer.
