We had no idea this drive along the Colorado river to Castle Valley village would be so amazing. The cliffs, river views, colours of the soil were amazing. Make a stop at the Castle Creek Winery on the way back if you return the same way and don't do the full loop road. The wines are good and well priced... More

Just off the road as you start this drive is one of those scenes you have seen in movies and commercials - the tower esp. And if you keep going a little more you will realize you have seen this view many times.

I just love the views! Fun movie museum to visit at the Red Cliff Lodge with movies filmed in the area. Lots of great hiking and camping areas or just drive both directions because the view are different

This was a quick side trip, glad that we took it. Lots to see, was neat to see the Colorado Frozen over. A must in the summer or winter.

Beautiful of course, but take your snowshoes if you want to hike! ( As of Christmas 2012) Who knows how long it will last in the canyons around the Castleton Tower area but you always drive up to the La Sal mountains.. 20 minutes.

This tiny town seems so remote, but the mountains are in view from everyone's front door. How lucky must they feel?

As the advertisement says. Why go to Monument Valley when you can go to Castle Valley. No Restaurants, gas stations, or cell phone coverage.

Still a great byway, although it's getting more touristic. I liked the remote character it had a few years ago. This time I saw paved bike routes and camp sites. Very sad.

When you drive in to Castle Valley you enter another world. It's surrounding walls and the peak of Castle Rock makes it a very unique place. It's history is full of indians and LDS stories and now it's simply a paradise for you and me. The local and only B&B is absolutely adorable and affordable and the owners are caring... More

What I'm really reviewing is Route 128 from Moab north to Highway 70. It's a breathtakingly beautiful drive. It has narrow canyons cut by the Colorado river and then opens into Castle Valley, a mini-monument valley with the Colorado river running through it. This road should be on everyone's list for Moab. What we did was, on our way down... More
