On our Heart of the City tour (3 hrs, 9 miles), you'll ride through Golden Gate Park, Haight-Ashbury, Lower Haight, the Mission district, and more! You'll see San Francisco architecture, both old and new, politically charged street art, hippy history, and everything in-between. On the epic 7x7 tour (6 hrs, 19 miles), you'll see Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, Fort Point (right below the Golden Gate Bridge!), the Embarcadero, the Ferry Building, the ball park (Go Giants!), Mission Bay houseboats, Mission murals, and more. Of course, we'll stop for opportunities to taste some of San Francisco's local cuisine, too (Tcho chocolate? Gourmet sandwich from the Ferry Building? Mission taco? Or all 3?) You may be asking: What about those infamous hills? Never fear! We'd rather not go up them either, so our routes go around them, with the exception of a couple minor ones that just about anyone can handle. So come join us on a casual bike ride and experience authentic San Francisco! « less

The guides were young and fun, and knew so much about the cultures and changes in SF over the last century. The ease with which they navigated the city was amazing and they really showed us what a great option cycling has become in SF! Other cities need to get on board! My only critique- it's not a workout- gentle... More

Following a short 4 day business trip to the USA, I had arranged an evening flight back home from San Francisco International Airport to the UK. This left me with a full day to explore the wonderful city, and after reading all the rave reviews here on TripAdvisor, I immediately contacted Daniel at Streets of San Francisco Bike Tours to... This was hands down our favorite part of San Francisco. The guides are extremely knowledgable and a pleasure to spend the day with. You get a fully guided tour as well as biking. We took the 6 hour tour which was well worth it, with enough stops for pictures, lunch, and rest. The tour takes your to the "real" San... More

Josh and David have a great thing going with their cycling tour of San Francisco. The bikes and helmets are good quality and important to me on the hills good brakes. Both of them grew up in the city so are able to share a wealth about the different areas we toured. Most tourists don't know about the unique art... More

Tim was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. We broke our trip from East Coast USA to New Zealand with this tour which gave us some exercise and fresh air to combat air travel claustrophobia. Having lived in SF in '71/'72 it was great to see the improvements but the basic character of the city unchanged. Biking was relatively easy even... More

This was my favorite part of my trip to California. Daniel led our group of four around the city and had something interesting and entertaining to tell us around every corner. We stopped a lot to talk about things we saw. I thought I would be struggling to get up and down the hills of San Francisco but we took... More

I read the (all 5-star) reviews of this tour before booking it, but even then I was a bit intimidated by biking around the hills and traffic of SF. Fear not, fellow travelers! This was by far the most fun we had while we were in San Fran, and we had a lot of fun in San Fran. My hubby... More

My hubby and I signed up for the heart of the city tour on a rainy, chilly overcast day. We got to Alamo Square and Daniel and Josh (our 2 tour guides) were waiting with bikes, helmets, gloves and extra rain jackets for the ride (just in case we came without jackets). They let us know that we were so... More

Over the top fun, engaging, intimate and in-depth peek into the soul of this incredible city. My three teenagers and I arrived at Alamo square to find our guide waiting with bikes and helmets. The equipment is high quality and perfect for city riding. The pace was easy and the stops were frequent and filled with passionate commentary and discussion... More
