It's definitely worth having a walk around City Hall. The building itself is beautiful from the outside but once you get inside it is stunning. For a public building, this is a fine example of beaux art rebuilding after the 1906 earthquake. You can just sit and rest, use the restroom, have coffee, explore the changing art exhibit on the lower level. A free treat in our City!

The staff was excellent and helpful and funny, clearly, they like working there. Information signs could be clearer though. The interior is beautiful, worth going just to see it. Many people waiting to get married on the steps under the dome, lots of happiness on the day I was there. Be prepared to go through security, and they are paying...
