Mount Davidson is the highest point in San Francisco, higher even than Twin Peaks. It's capped by a gigantic concrete cross, made famous by its inclusion in the original Dirty Harry movie. “Armenian genocide memorial gets five stars alone”

The cross on the top of the mountain in the park should get an extra 5 stars alone for being dedicated to the victims of the Armenian genocide. So few people give any attention to this genocide unfortunately, as the Turkish government still claims it never happened though 1,500,000 Armenians were slaughtered. Ok, I can continue forever on how upsetting... More

We had a rental car and made the short drive from downtown to Mount Davidson. Only knew about it from watching Dirty Harry movies ( big Eastwood fan ) Wow what a site on a clear day you can see forever-downtown golden gate ect.
