If you want nice ridge views, this is not your hike. It is a nice, tropical rainforest hike - lots of trees, lots of mud if it rained in the last few days. Relatively flat so not too much effort unless you are severely out of shape and have difficulty walking for 5 miles. Pretty cool as it is shady...

4.8 miles through the Hawai'ian woods with occasional good vistas. The foliage was not in bloom as it hasn't turned to spring yet. A bit muddy at times but overall a moderate hike to get some fresh air and stretch the legs. I'd do it again.

It is such a beautiful state park. The trail is easy for all levels, just be careful after it rains because it gets very muddy and slippery. As long as you stay on the path, you won't get lost. This relatively easy trail is 4.5 miles long and takes about 2 and half hours Many people jog it. It's part of a state park with lots of parking and there's no fee to hike here. You might even see remnants of a B-24 bomber that crashed in 1944. I've seen dogs, small children, and elderly people all do this...
