We have monolith madness in Oregon with the haystack rocks, namely Cannon Beach. It seems they have it in Maui too. Drive from West or South Maui to check this bad*ss rock out. You barely have to do anything to get within picture taking distance from it. Then go down the river and go for a little dip. I guess...

There is a small trail with stairs taking you along the beautiful foliage and a stream. Well maintained grounds. Good sandals or sneakers for walking are best. Easy...

Worth going to and explore this state park. Very easy walk especially with kids. Great views. There is a parking fee but reasonable. If you time go on a hike into the mountain

High mountains on both sides. There is a small admission fee/parking fee to get in. Stay over to the left for some great views....

The cinder cones are amazing at this city park. It is the site of the final battle in the conquest of Maui by Kamehaha. The battle and aftermath were gruesome but the Iao valley is impressive.
climb the 124 stairs to nirvana and a gorgeous view of the needle. whether sunny or misty, this place is just breathtaking and inspiring.
