Great pavilion with shaded picnic tables, showers, and restrooms. Good snorkeling right from the pavilion. Best wading/kid-playing area is probably to the left (few hidden rocks on the sandy ocean bottom). Not comfortable on the most windy days, but somewhat protected from afternoon winds. This beach is just north of the much more famous Ka'anapali beach. Unlike its glitzy cousin, there is ample free parking without needing to stay at one of the high-end hotels or resorts or pay $30 to park at the Whaler's Village mall. This is by far our favorite place on the Island! We love all that it has to offer, views of Molokai/Lanai, beautiful ocean waters, nice sand, great swimming, great snorkeling at the reef, beautiful coral and fish/turtles, occasional Monk Seal, great walking beach! A fun place to get away from the sand or be on the beach. It's a public park just like all the beaches are public. Restroom and shaded picnic tables, too. More
