We neglected to book the early tour and found that we didn't get to see the part of the garden's that I wanted to go to. Its huge so go to the info desk, ask what you will see and what area they are going to on which days. The key is early booking! More

These gardens are a must. Great staff, in fact very good. Allow yourself half a day as the plants here are amazing. Everywhere you look something different, the scent from some of the plants was just incredible. Make sure you take water as it gets very hot and don't rush it. We had a very knowledgeable guide. He showed us the food plants, the medicine plants, the building plants, the spices,... The Gardens are well arranged with lots of signs on individual plants. Make sure to see the Rainbow Eucalyptus. Wow!!! More

I parked in the visitor's lot and bypassed the shed where they sell tickets to guided tours. I just wanted to self-guide, but when I followed the only path I could find, it led me to a market of stalls hawking jewelry and tschotschkes. Along the way, I saw manicured lawns and a few trees but nothing spectacular. More

We enjoyed the tram ride to the garden more than the actual self-guided tour. Got to see some whales and spinner dolphins. The 20 minute ride will drop you off with a confusing map and vague instructions as to the walk direction but the emphasis is on where to meet and the tight window of time to catch the ride... More
