very limited parking, traffic jam, but a beautiful waterfall. A few vendors in the parking lot, but did not look. Worth the 30 + minutes to enjoy

While traveling around the island, it can be a bit daunting the drive if you are unsure of where you are going. But the road leads to a dead end that is the falls.
You can hike down but it is not recommended for beginners - there are the side road, hand made sellers but they are really nice and...

Close to town, it's worth the drive...once. It would be better if you could see it from the base of the falls, but getting there is dangerous.
Kauai's scenery is already beautiful, but when you see Wailua Falls, it's just amazing. Obviously take your camera, but have it out while you're riding to get there, the scenery is beautiful.
The falls are absolutely beautiful. If you are adventurous and it hasn't been pouring rain that day, put on some hiking shoes and go down the hill a short ways from the view area. This was one of our favorite waterfalls on Kauai. It is easily accessible, just off the main highway north of Lihue. It is a short drive but well worth it. We did not take the hike, as it sounded like it might be slippery and unsure footing. It is a short side trip but we felt it was well-worth it.
Wailua Falls is easy to drive to, it has limited parking and the viewing area is just the wide shoulder of the curving roadway. It is a gorgeous view and I definitely recommend taking the extra 15 minutes out of a busy day just to drive there and view it.
Just easy to do and see from the road. A must visit Kauai attraction. Viewpoint is great for pictures, but far from falls. The hike in is a little more adventurous if you want to get closer. Very touristy.
The road to Wailua Falls is almost as beautiful as the falls themselves. So lush and green and gorgeous. The falls are beautiful and awe inspiring with plenty of parking when we visited. Lovely island with so much to discover each day.
The falls are easy to drive right up to and are spectacular but the real fun is to hike down to the bottom of the falls and swim in the pool below the falls. The trails are "officially" closed and are muddy and difficult to navigate but worth it.
