This is a great place for the little ones and less adventuress folks to see some of the tropical, colorful fish. It is protected from the waves with a large rock break. It is a clean park, while we were there; they had a volunteer cleanup day. Sweeping up the leaves, twigs etc. They also had been dredging the swimming... More

This is Lihue's only public park and it's usually busy. The beach was litered with drift wood. Some nice sand areas are available.

This is a quiet family friendly park. It has a well protected swimming area that doesn't get deeper than waist deep. It is a perfect spot for first time snorkelers and even has a couple little fish to follow.

This is a great swimming spot if your with your baby, or small children, as the calm protected lagoon is safe and calm for wading around. We also had a sweet time perusing the marvelous wooden play structure decorated with custom ceramic artwork and strolling the grassy areas. The weekend brings crowds of local families, so arrive early to find... More

This was a wonderful park for the family with shelters, facilities and a lovely large adventure playground. The swimming area was quite large with a ring of boulders shielding from the strong ocean. A safe place to swim. Water shoes are a MUST with quite rocky areas. The snorkelling is murky and there is quite a significant amount of debris.... More

So, it wasn't the most exciting snorkeling we did, but it was protected from the waves, and there were two cute natural pools because of the rock formations, and one was kiddie sized. My husband and I were on our belated honeymoon so it wasn't exactly the best place for us to go snorkeling, but there were plenty of fish... More

We enjoyed this beach, even without our children! There is a great place for kids to swim, surrounded by a rock wall. There are nice restrooms, and a playground for the kids as well.

If you need a calm and safe place for snorkeling or just swimming this is it. There is a large rock water break surrounding the pond so its great for kids and very safe with a life guard. Adequate parking and restrooms.

The park is really nice, plenty of grass, picnic tables and covered eating areas. The beach is nice and it has two swimming areas that are protected from the ocean by a wall of rocks. One is for children, one is for adults and you can do a little snorkeling there. Also, lots of chickens to share the experience!
