fun bridge if you want a nice view of the river, and you don't mind the way the bridge shakes if you go out to the middle. More

This little bridge is special. It is over 100 years old and made of wood and pulleys. Since the industrial revolution we don't have many of these around and they are quite unique. Although not as functional as a cement bridge you can actually drive across, it is a short walk across the bridge and you can take nice pictures... More

Even though this little bridge didn't really go anywhere except the opposite bank, it was a delight to walk across and ponder the river as you stood in the middle. You do wonder how secure it is though with sprung boards on the railings and generally dilapidated state, but it is worth a crossing if you are in the area. More

Great little detour on the way to Waimea canyon, you can walk the bridge and be back at your car in 15 mins OR you can cross the bridge and do some hiking along the river. There is a nice geocache on the other side of the bridge! Like others have mentioned, don't drive just to see this bridge but... More

It's a cool spot to see and take a few photos. Nothing fancy it's in the middle of 3 blocks of art stores and small local restaurants. More

But its a good stop if you're in Hanapepe or driving somewhere else. Just make sure you go to the Hanapepe bakery across the street! More

This is the bridge in Waimea, off of Menehune Road, right after the supermarket. Drive about 1.5 miles down the road to the wooden and cable bridge over the shallow river. You can pretend you are in the movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" and shout like the Chinese kid ShortRound "Look lady, strong bridge, strong bridge" as... More

The swinging bridge crosses the river but goes to nowhere. Hanapepe is a cool art town. Friday nights they have a fun art night with wine and cheese. More

One more item to check off your list of uber touristy things to do. Do not make a special trip for this, it's just a walk bridge. At least they arn't charging for it yet. More
