The beach is great for families, and a good place to wait and hang out if you are taking a helicopter or boat ride in Port Allen More

Salt Pond Park is a delightful place to swim and play with your kids and grand kids. The beach is protected from large waves, the sand is clean, and there are areas to BBQ, picnic tables, and restrooms. The west side of the island is often when other areas are overcast or rainy. More

Forget Poipu and go now. Safe area for kids to play. Locals beach so I'm sorry to advertise this one. Palm trees, sand, and seals. Good facilities and a life guard. Poipu was great but Salt Pond will make me save money to return. More

Good place to go when the waves are too big at the other beaches. You can take dogs if you take the road just before and stay out of the actual park More

This beach was nice for us since we stayed on the Westside. Lots of picnic tables, and calmer waters. Plenty of campers that were enjoying themselves as well. Locals were present, but didn't seem to mind us being there. More

The water here is calm enough to do laps back and forth parallel to the beach. It is guarded and safe with a smaller swimming area for kids adjacent to the main area. Fresh water showers get the salt off and restrooms are handy. The car park is within easy view of the beach so break ins are not as... More

This is a lovely beach. Not too crowded, and a great place to swim and snorkel. We had fun floating in the water. It was so calm, and it almost reminded me of the buoyancy of the Dead Sea. Almost. More

We did 7 years ago and returned on our anniversary to celebrate. Salt Pond Beach is favored by locals and for good reason: not too many tourists! not commercial! More
