We booked this tour for the 3 couples traveling together. Karen was our guide. She did an excellent job of explaining the Hawaiian culture. Karen did not just park and wait for us but went with us to see the sights and explain things tous. I recommend the tour and the tour guide.

Our tour takes you to view the largest and most active volcano in the world, the Kilauea Caldera. The Kilauea Caldera is a massive crater encircled by plumes of sulfuric smoke, and the signs of lava destruction are everywhere. The lava flows are constantly shifting, and our tour takes you as close as possible to see them. On our tour, you will walk through an actual lava tube which include extensive lava flows and Hawaii's unique black sand beaches. Later, you’ll pass through lush rainforest as our guide points out many native tropical plants, such as red ginger and ginseng. Our tours take in 10 major Hilo attractions ensuring you have a spectacular day in Hilo.

We decided to book this tour after researching our options for the volcanos. At first we thought a car rental would be a good option, but after insurance, taxes and fees, the car rental price was over $100 plus gas, so i googled gas in Hawaii, and it is really really expense. We went on this tour last month and were really impressed. Our tour guide met us as we got off of our ship and was a really nice guy. We all loved this tour. The tour was great and our guide really looked after everyone. We saw so much in one day, and it this was the best price we found. The tour times matched our port times and the customer service excellent. This tour is worth the money.
