Saw elk, prong horn, buffalo, and moose....without barely getting out of the car! The scenery is spectacular. Views of snow covered mountains,IN MAY, and lots of trails and stops to picnic. I would say the restroom stops are not as numerous as needed, but we managed. Don't miss the visitors center. A must stop for maps, souvenirs, and history...very informative.... More

Its all about timing. If you are there when the animals are migrating its a magnificant experiance. Suggestion - get off the highway - take a trip out to Kelly you will get a lot closer and see a lot more. More

When the elk are there - winter - it's very nice to get a good look at the herd along with the trumpeter swans right there at the turnout in town. More
