Best skiing we have found in the midwest that is convenient to Chicago. More

Great learning areas, and enough mountain for people to find trouble if they want to. Honestly, no real dislikes. More

Granite peak is by far the largest ski resort that I have visited in the Midwest. The beginner runs were a lot bigger than you would expect and there were a lot of runs. The only issue I has was with the variety. For example there was a pretty big difference between the green runs and the blue runs. SO... More

We are snowboards living in the area. We have visited quite a few hills in Wisconsin and are happy this one is in our back yard! Only negative is they don't have a true beginner "park" area. The hill is typically well maintained but has icy spots. More

Just spent a 4 day weekend with my 4 children. I have 2 teenagers and 2 younger children. It was a great trip. We arrived Friday Night and there was no line at all to pick up our lift tickets. We ordered on line in advance for an extra discount which worked out well. Not much for lines for the... More

This was our first trip to granite peak as it is a bit far from Chicago, but it was great! The slopes were well-groomed, there was more variety than expected, the lifts were fast, and the best part was that there were no lines for the lifts!! We can't wait to one back next year for a long weekend! More

The problem with being a skier in the Midwest is that, well, it's flat around here. I try to find a better place to ski each year, and the more I try...the more I like Granite. They have really upped their game over the years, expanding the food service, storage and facilities. Yet, they have retained the cozy village feel.... More

They have really upped their runs and lifts. The snow they make is phenomenal, so even in a winter like this one where there isn't any snow, the skiing is great. Had a great time. More
