Here's another museum that's better than the tired city it is in, and the structure it is in is really impressive. Combine a visit to it with the Paine Art Center and Arboretum across the intersection, and you'll forget you're in Oshkosh.

We have been to this museum several times for the traveling displays they are able to acquire. Very good.

Lovely small museum with a flair for creativity. We went there for Potterfest and they had decorated/transformed this beautiful old home into Hogwarts, along with the regular exhibits. My 5 year old son was very impressed. They had people acting as Potter characters (games, sorting hat, candy trolly, etc.) so it really brought it to life. Bravo to them for...

I went here as a child to see the apostle's clock and even if you only have 15 minutes to run in, get there on the hour to see this amazing clock. The building itself is beautiful and there are some interesting exhibits.

Misc stuff about native americans, old works and habits and something nice about city history. Not so many paintings or sculptures. Nice for kids with a lot of curiosities and figures. A bit boring for adults.

What a gorgeous building. It belonged to a lumber magnate, who donated it to the city. The museum exhibits do a good job of describing Oshkosh and its history, and the staff is helpful.
