After my family and I explored Cave of the Mounds, we decided to see if this attraction was open. The sign in front of the driveway stated that it may open 2014! So I guess they will be closed 2013. Mt Horeb however is a quaint little town that you can spend an hour touring and taking pictures of their... More

Little Norway is closed in winter time, but we go to Mount Horeb to take a look, because we visit the Cave of the Mounds. As this small town is nearby, then we take a look there. As it's winter time, the museum and the visitor center are closed, this make us disappointed, yet, we visit some shops, there is... More

This facility is a real True Gem. This is an authentic depiction of life from the 1800's. We came with friends that grew up in Norway and they loved how the way of life is so true to their old country. There are rumors that this facility might close, or be sold off this coming year. We are very glad... More

I expected tourist tacky but was very pleasantly surprised at this reconstructed village. All the buildings and furnishings are authentic. I spent a nice couple of hours wandering around this tiny farm. The guide was knowledgable and pleasantly answered all our questions. I was impressed that a couple actually from Norway who were on my tour made many comments about... More

It was very historic and had great things to see. I recall there was a trunk there with the name Kari on it. Since that is my name I thought that was way cool.

Wow! This is one of the best museums in the Midwest. It is worth the 15 mile drive from Madison. The collection of buildings and artifacts from the Norwegian settlement era are great and are topped by a full size Stave Church built in Norway as the Norwegian exhibit at the famous 1893 Chicago World's Fair. This is a fun... More

The area takes you back to ancestors' times and you realize how they worked for all they had. Friendly staff and warm people throughout.

Little Norway is a beautiful attraction to take your family to no matter your heritage. The tour guides were well informed and were able to answer all of our questions. The grounds and views were breathtaking. The path you walk during the tour is a little bumpy at times, but overall the tour is a nice stroll. I would say that... More
