The iconic Pabst Mansion, which was once almost torn down for a parking structure, is a must-do for any Milwaukee visitors. Not only is the magnificent house an architectural marvel, but the knowledgeable docents explain quite a bit about Milwaukee history and the brewing industry that made it famous. A lot of history and beauty for a small fee. Buy... More

Visited this delightful historical mansion with my two grown daughters who have emerged from their youth and are appreciating the historical value of things. The mansion is fascinating! We were toured by a highly experienced docent (wish I remembered her name) who had volunteered here for 30 years. Her vast knowledge was mind boggling, and included wonderful details about the... This mansion is gorgeous, and the docents do a wonderful job of giving tours. The woodwork and architectural details are amazing. But the Pabst is at her most beautiful during the holidays! Even if you've toured the mansion before, it is worth going back at Christmas time, when the mansion is bedecked with lovely and glistening decorations and lights. During... More

The Pabst Mansion is evidently the last of its kind. It's basically the last of 80 similar mansions in this area of Milwaukee, and thankfully the group that runs it was able to hold onto a lot of the original furnishings. The house is beautiful to walk through, and the tour guide had lots of interesting information about the Pabst... More

The tour is worth taking once, even if you're from the area. I enjoyed it and the views inside are certainly unique. The architecture and artwork inside are impressive at times. Younger audiences would probably get bored. More

What craftsmanship in the building. The interior was amazing. Not necessarily elaborate, but very detailed and well done. For it's time, it had the latest of gadgets. Worth the hour tour. (Tours start on the hour, get tickets in the gift shop to the right of the building, enter at the main doors. Some parking at mansion itself, more across... More
