We travel a lot of bike trails in the area. This is as nice as any, but not as long as some others. Still a good place to spin the bike tires!! More

this trail has been "discovered" by every oblivious "fred" out there so that now the trail is just about unrideable unless you're willing to ride at a 5mph pace and wear full body armor for the crashes you WILL sustain because of all the inattentive and thoughtless morons now using the trail. More

This is a great trail but if you head north of Milwaukee, you'll find the bridge is currently being replaced and the detour takes you on some streets that are in poor condition with high traffic at times. Consider this especially if you're riding with children. This should be finished by the end of summer. More

With gasoline prices so high and more people riding bikes, I'm sure (I, at least, hope) we'll start seeing more bicycle paths. So, riding the Oak Leaf Trail would be a great way to experience a future way to travel. Plus, it's beautiful, urban ride... More

The Oak Leaf Trail extends through much of Milwaukee County and is widely used for recreation and commuting. For visitors to the city, I'd recommend the stretch along the lakeshore that begins in South Shore Park in Bayview (a neighborhood in southeastern Milwaukee) and continues south for 7 or 8 miles to Grant Park, remaining frequently, though not exclusively, in...
