When you go, purchase the guided tour. The owner/founder is charming, funny and awesome. The store is amazing. You dont even have to like mustard to enjoy this, but if you do . . . omg you will be in heaven!

The mustard museum in Middleton contains a little bit of information about mustard but is mostly a collection of mustards from around the country and around the world. The museum part is in the basement and the shop is on the ground floor. The shop sells a variety of mustard types and brands. The best part of the shop is... More

So, you get what you pay for, but, if you're in the Middleton area for some reason, go for it, it'll be fun.

The museum in the basement is better termed a collection. It's an amazing collection of everything mustard, from all over the world, presented in a witty way. It's definitely worth browsing around. The highlight is the mustard shop on the main floor. They have samples of countless mustards for you to taste, before you find the ones you'd like to... More

I went in search of off the beaten track sites and hit the jackpot with the National Mustard Museum in Middleton, WI. Only a 15 minute drive from West Madison, this museum houses over 1500 different mustards. Not only was it interesting to view all the mustards (from every state and many countries) and the collection of mustard pots, I... More

The mustard museum is a free museum in the basement of a mustard store. You will see really old mustard, mustard from all over the world, and anything else you can think of. I probably only spent 20 minutes in the museum area itself. You can buy and sample some crazy mustards upstairs. My favorite mustard is the spicy sweet... More

...this time with mustard! Seriously, who knew there were thousands of types and tastes of mustard in the world?! Great little stop, fun and informative, and a well stocked store for the mustard lover (or adventurer). Whole stop, including the museum downstairs and the store on the main level, takes maybe an hour. Parking in mostly on the street, but... More

It is what it is. Nice newer store on the main level with lots of different types of mustards for sale and plenty to sample. No charge to get in and a museum in the basement that will take up about 10-15 minutes worth of your time. It's fun for the kids to visit is you happen to be driving... More

Just outside Madison in the quaint downtown of Middleton, is the great little slice of Americana. The downstairs is the actual museum, with fun, strange, and unique exhibits. To visit the museum part is not very time consuming, but it is fun. Upstairs is the gift shop, and mustard for sale from all over the world! The folks working there... More
