This is a very well-kept museum . You can tell that the historical society & their volunteers are very proud of it. Very Informative.

Pioneer Village;Nestled among a 35 acre pine grove with 37 buildings and several original log cabins built and furnished in the 1800's. The buildings are filled with thousands of artifacts of that period. A climate controlled building contains 36 cubicles filled with antique guns, clothing, WWI,II, and Civil War articles. Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day with special events on week ends. See our Web Page.

We visited the Barron County Historical Museum on a warm Sunday in late June.
This museum is one of those fantastic under-the-radar sites one has the pleasure to occasionally stumble upon. We arrived ten minutes earlier than the alleged opening time, but they were ready and waiting for us anyway- how many places can you say that about? Staff friendliness...
