Some good souvenirs of the time period and from the movie. However, I felt the price of admission was too much for what little they offered. If they lowered the price, it would be a nice place to stop and look over. You only need about 30 minutes at most... More

If you have interest in the Mothman legend this is the place to visit. And if you don't have an interest in the Mothman legend you will once you visit. So much to see and take in. My favorite was seeing the handwritten accounts of the witnesses. Super friendly staff and easy to find. A very pleasant town to visit! More

I took my family here for a bit of unusual WV culture, and we learned so much more. They have informative videos (and sell popcorn, which my kids loved!), lots and lots of original newspaper clippings, original handwritten accounts of witnesses and a wealth of information. If you are interested in the Mothman or even the unexplained, this is definitely... More

We visited Pt. Pleasant specifically to visit this attraction. We missed the hours it was open. It does not open until noon and closes at five. If you wish to visit here, plan accordingly. I do not think it is open on weekends. More

While it is true that we run on short hours, It is common for small museums to have short hours. However we encourage visitors to check the hours we have posted on several of our websites and we have three social network pages. Also we can be "Followed" on another account. So the information is there to plan your visit.... More

This place has a wealth of information that most visitors don't realize. I could spend a week in here going through all the archives-- the mystery or legend of Mothman starts with you. If you're casual on the topic, you may be disappointed with the museum and walk by a wealth of information that has many answers. The museum is... More

The Mothman Museum is what you might expect if your geeky sibling who believes in UFO's (obviously in Pt.Pleasant it is MOTHMEN) were to be given a space to "exhibit" their collection. The place is just sad. A few props (a paint can? seriously) from the motion picture "Mothman Prophecies", and LOT'S of "sketches" from the locals. We spent literally... More

Maybe we were expecting too much, but we were a little let down with the whole Mothman deal. More

The museum was small and mostly just newspaper clippings, movie memorabilia, and souvenirs. What made it more interesting was the stories the museum staff told us about some UFO sightings. More
