The Skamokawa/Columbia River Kayaking guides were ultra prepared, knowledgeable both about kayaking and local history (both natural and as applied to Lewis and Clark) and about as nice as anyone you've ever met. Elderhostel trip May 2009, Kayaking on the Columbia River, wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls. This was a terrific trip. Our guides Mike Whitaker and Andrew Emlen, with help from Josh were enthusiastic, multitalented, knowledgeable, patient kayaking guides who doubled as evening program presenters, are great story tellers, passionate about caring for their corner of the world and a lot of fun....
