Lopez is a great option for bicycling. It is relatively flat (unlike the very hilly neighbor Orcas Island) with uncrowded roades. It has a great bike camping spot right on the water (Spencer Spit State Park), and it is large enough to explore. This is an excellent place for family biking.

If you are in Lopez Island you should totally get to know the island on a bike. The views are amazing, the fresh air, the people, everything is great. The island is also famous for the Tour De Lopez, so you should travel around the island they same way locals do.
