After reading the novel From Sea to Shining Sea, my husband and I could not wait to see the Lewis & Clark Center. We were very pleased and fascinated with all the artifacts and information there. It is one of the things that drew us to this area to stay a few days after our grandson's college graduation in Tacoma.

Great beach for walking or driving on. Nice boardwalk with some interesting things along the way. Was disappointed that Clark's tree was a bronze interpretation. :( Great for kite flying and wonderful sunsets if the weather cooperates.

We live close to Long Beach so we go here quite a bit starting in May. The town does free activities downtown every weekend starting in May. The beach is great and there are a lot of shops. Wonderful beach town.

We traveled on spring break but it was Long Beach's off season, so not all of the stores were open on the Long Beach Peninsula.
