Brought back my childhood watching young children on their plastic slides make that first run down the small slope. Once they accomplished the first trip, it was more to follow. All day long in lieu of texting, TV or laptops...

Great place in the winter to take a nice stroll, snoeshoe or XC ski. The paths are very close to downtown Leavenworth but you quickly forget how close you are as you cross over bridges, watch the river and wildlife.

Summer time brings art in the park, Oktoberfest brings concerts and dancing, winter time you'll see Christmas lighting festival and sledding...there's always something happening here - especially on the weekends. the park was wonderfully decked out for Christmas with music and decorations -- tons of light! great sledding spot for little kids and great people watching.
