The Makah Indian Reservation is a very welcoming and beautiful place to visit. We enjoyed the drive and hike to Cape Flattery. We also enjoyed taking a day to relax at Hobuck Beach. This beach was quiet and full of rock outcroppings near the shoreline that were full of interesting starfish, crabs, sea urchins, and anemonies to photograph during low... More

I visited the museum after attending a Makah Days Festival in the town. The festival offered an opportunity to see canoe racing and while shopping for tribal and regular festival items. It would have been more pleasant to see more pride in promoting the cultural event had the town been clean of trash on the beach and streets. It would... More

The museum is one of the best museums I have ever been to. I could keep coming back time and time again. I learn so much from here. We can easily spend at least 3 hours in here. They have very unique displays here. Not many have historic artifacts from a whole village that was preserved from a land slide... More

The Makah museum is not to be missed. Wonderful information on the rich history of the tribe. The Cape Flattery hiking trail was well maintained, uncrowded (at 9am), and offered stunning views of the gorgeous coastline. Certainly worth the drive, which was also beautiful! More

Neah Bay is a sad little town that is as close to villa in old Mexico as you could get exept I have found the natives to be rude and unfriendly. I have spent a lot of time and money on the Makah Indian reservation and other than the fishing and the scenery never had a pleasant experians, everything from... More

. I was so impressed with the Makah Museum. Rarely do museums give such a good example of the life-style and culture of a people as they have accomplished here. The replication of a long house, the canoes, amazing artifacts, and introductory film makes this a must see for those fascinated with the culture of Native American Tribes of the... More
