Small local park only a few miles from my home. They have covered areas for large family picnics that have fireplaces and cook areas. Good for swimming on hot days, lots of shade, has a dock for tying up a boat temporarily, little concession stand with the BEST hamburgers. I go often during the summer. More

Twanoh State Park is split into 2. The north side of Highway 106 offers beaches for clamming, picnics, or just taking a walk by the Hood Canal. The south side has the campground and a nice hiking trail. We didn't take the whole 2.5 mile loop through the woods, but we did a shorter version. The trail mainly takes you... More
