I was in Virginia Beach for a conference and was looking for a unique way to explore the surrounding area. The answer: Stand Up Paddleboards at Tula Adventure Sports. I was pretty boxed in time-wise, and the staff was very accommodating. I ended up renting a SUP for two hours and took it out on my own. I was a... More

Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is booming, and it seems like everyone and their uncle is buying 10 boards and a truck and calling themselves a pro. Well, Isa and her team are pros. Everything about their approach to the sports they love is high quality. The equipment is great, the instructors are well trained, and you can tell that they... More

Have lots of great paddle board stuff and a fun locals paddle in the summer. They also help out with Happy Winds at the Virginia Beach Resort in the summer with the sunset paddle on Wednesdays.

Great instructor, safe and secure, is how I felt when I finally stood up on the board. No pressure, plenty of encouragement, and really fun when i started paddeling. lots to see when you stand on the board and look around. a nice relaxed workout

I had bought 2 groupons to go paddle boarding. Whenever I would try to schedule "they only had weekdays". Since I work I obviously needed evenings or weekends. Staff is very rude and unaccomadating. Very disappointed. I have paddle boarded with 3 other local businesses and have loved it. These guys obviously have cheap prices for a reason,

Dear Redheadinva, We are very sorry to hear of your experience. We book our customers first-come, first-serve, and run an average of 3 to 4 excursions every Friday, Saturday and Sunday this season. We also had several tours every day of the week. These weekends booked up very quickly and included both groupon holders and non-groupon holders. The more advanced... More

We signed up for the SUP through a buy one get one free newspaper special. The experience of our group ranged from beginner to those who had paddled before. We chose to stay on Long Creek for this excursion. The owners and staff were courteous, professional, fun, and above all patient! They briefly explained proper technique and helpful pointers and... Signed up for Dolphin tour which looked AWESOME. However, mother nature scratched that with a lightening storm and torrential rains. We were given option of refund or rain check. Staff was able to squeeze us into a bay tour from First Landing the next day. The Dolphin tour was our first choice. You could see the dolphins from the shore.... More

These are the most amazing people. Kind and patient when teaching an older gal like myself to do something new. The SUP has changed my life and Tula has been a big part of that. Thanks Isa for everything! Everyone must try SUP at least once and not just for the dolphins.

I went for a Dolphin Viewing tour with Isa. It was just the two of us, and it was a great tour of the area. Unfortunately, we were not able to see any dolphins but we saw a school of manta rays and it was just great to paddle around the VA beach area and explore the shoreline. Isa was... More
