They have a carousel running in the summer and a playground. There are trails to walk including a paved trail you can take a stroller on. You can also rent canoes and other boats in the summer. They have a small concession stand, picnic tables and sand by the water. The drive in to the park is a little long,... More

WE LOVE LAKE ACCOTINK! Its one of my personal favorite places to go with my kids. They have 5k runs there and We even participated. It's even A nice place to go for a picnic. The only thing that throws me off is that sometimes there is hardly any staff there. and things get messed up. More

This is a DC area gem. The hilly trails are great for hiking and running. There's some civil war history, and lots of nature. I have seen kingfishers, bald eagles, red shouldered and retail hawks, owls, peliated woodpeckers, foxes, and big snapping turtles. More

This is a great place to spend an early afternoon in the spring or early summer before it gets too terribly hot. There's a small beach front area by the lake where kids can play in the sand and splash in the water (no swimming allowed). There's a carousel and miniature golf as well as a tour boat ride around...
