I rarely write a follow up comment, or feel a need to. However, when complete misinformation occurs, on such a wonderful place, I feel a need too. Lake Anna State Park is what all state parks are....areas of land preserved away from commercialism and cities. It is not a place where one seeks out man made entertainment. Lake Anna has... More

I thought this was going to be a good day out - every talks of it as it is great. But you know there is nothing really there in the park. There's a beach - ick - and a pool - more ick. But there is just not much to do. Too crowded on a weekend and a scary crowd. More

A great lake, beach, and forested land. Plenty to do in a relaxed, uncrowded park. More

We love Lake Anna and own a vacation home close to the park. The park is such a peaceful respite when the summer crowds leave. A perfect place to walk your dog with your family, with waterfront trails and historic markers to ponder upon. More

We stayed in a camping cabin for two nights. The cabin is 1 room with 2 sets of bunk beds, a table and 4 chairs, 2 solid rockers, a small area rug, an overheard light and fan and small front porch. The picnic table and grill/fire pit are just outside. Entire camping area is very clean with separate sites clearly... More

Took my family for the first time and it was a grea choice. The campground is very nice with well designed spaces and great drainage. Bathrooms were clean. The lake itself is beautiful and the water was refreshing! The campground fee also includes the swimming fee at the lake beach. Overall a great camping experience. More

Lake Anna was a hidden treasure that a friend of a friend shared with us. We rented a house on the lake, rented a boat for Mon-Fri. and we all had a blast! We went with 2 families, including 4 teenagers. The goal was a relaxing vacation with a lot of boating & tubing and our goal was accomplished. We... More

My husband, two children ages 9 and 10, and myself just spent three days camping at Lake Anna. The tent sites are very spacious, the park is very clean, there are regular security patrols, and all the people who work there are fantastic! We had so many good experiences. Panning for gold with Anna was a lot of fun, and... More

Rented a cabin for one week at this state park with my Canadian wife and a friend of ours from Elkridge, Maryland. Thought it would be rustic but it was more like a cottage. Had a full service kitchen, bathroom with plumbing, living room with a fireplace and two bedrooms. Make sure you bring a radio and reading material as... More

This park is set up for camping! The sites are large and there are NO bad sites. Toilet facilities are separate from the large showers, but in the same building. Trails throughout the park are beautiful and well marked. The boat launch is wide and there is plenty of room for parking the trailers. This is our first trip each... More
