There are two competing entities at Walton's Mountain -- the museum is in an old school and just soso. Hardly worth the $8 per person. It has mockups of the sets from the series, bios of the stars of the show, etc. On the other hand, just down the street is the building where Earl Hammer wrote -- it is... More

I just visited the Walton's museum on April 7, 2012. I visited the museum with my two young daughter's as well as my friend and her two daughters. We came down from Charlottesville and the GPS got us there with no problems and it was a beautiful and easy 30 minute drive. I loved looking at all the pictures and... More

I planned to take my 11 year old nephew to visit this museum when we visited family in Virginia. The website of this museum states that the last tour must begin by 3:40 and that the museum closes at 4:00. We were running on a tight schedule so I called ahead to make sure the museum was open and when... More

This is an old school where the rooms make up the museum. The staff were friendly and helpful. Its cheap to get in and not altogether polished but better for it, kind of like the series. Enjoyed the hour or so we spent there and would recommend if you are in the area More

We had a great time at the Walton's museum. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There are replicas of the living room, kitchen and John Boy's room. There was also a real recipe machine on display and a lot of Walton's memorabelia and interesting information about the series and the actors. Shopping in Ike Godsey's store was also fun.... More
