Found a brochure at the Williamsburg Winery for New Kent Winery & decided to check it out. The facility is just lovely & the wines are pretty good. My only criticism was that our server was not real friendly & seemed to have a script so that when we asked questions, she seemed to be somewhat annoyed. More

New Kent Winery is beautiful and truly a unique winery to visit. Virginia now has over 200 wineries and this is one of the most beautiful in the state. The building is fascinating in itself as it was built with almost 100% recycled or reclaimed products. The drive into the winery off of exit 211 is very scenic as well... More

Great tasting for only $5.00. Beautiful porch to sit out and drink a glass or two. Very pretty grounds. More

The New Kent Winery is a delightful and informative place to sample, tour, and picnic. The wine tasting of seven wines is well paced, with the expected accompaniments of crackers, water, and excess buckets. The server was knowledgeable and very pleasant. Everything is immaculately clean and the facility is handicap friendly. We first visited New Kent a year ago with... More

My husband and I visited the New Kent Winery this past weekend after having bought a PilotOnline Daily Deal to go there at half off the regular admission price. Honestly, even without the discounted price, we still would have gone and paid. It is a quaint, cute building that was built using recycled materials, ie. bricks that date back some... More

The winery is located in very pretty country. The building is truly beautiful and the tour of the structure is well worth the $3.00 fee. Once inside, the, you can shop, taste or do both. The tastings (at $5.00 a person which includes a wine glass) are well attended. We tasted 5-6 different wines and ended up buying 3 of... More

We were fortunate to visit New Kent Winery on a warm January day with two other couples. The staff were friendly and attentive. The tasting cost $5 for just a tasting and $8 if you want the tour. We tasted 7 wines, including a new Merlot Reserva that had just been released. The tour focused on the building materials of... More

New Kent Winery is a very friendly place with delicious wine. A few times a year we pick up a Subway sandwich nearby, buy a glass of the white Merlot, and sit on New Kent's beautiful deck to enjoy our lunch. Go for the tasting too. I've been to around 45 vineyards in Virginia, and this is in my top... More

We had a nice time at this winery. It is a smaller winery in New Kent and has a small/family feel to it. It has a facility with a nice architectural flair to it--it is well-designed and it shows. It is not as commercialized as other vineyards, which I liked. They allowed us to go through their wine aging rooms... More

This is a wonderful spot! The building is awesome and as "green" as possible with lots of the bulding material coming from Richmond's old buildings and restored bricks from pre-Civil War era. The roof consists of handmade shingles (72K of them) from 150 year old cypress wood and so on. Do the wine tasting ($5 pp), select a bottle, and... More
