Ball's Bluff Battlefield interpretive trail loop is .8 mi. A map and walking tour guide are located at the info kiosk area. We would have missed this had we not paid attention to the Civil War signs. It appears that the National Cemetery is not taken care of, sorry to say. More

This is a nice little out of the way historical site. If you blink, you might just pass by it. There are a few little ruins that you can walk through and tour, however there was no "tour guide" while we were there. There is a nice hiking trail, that leads down hill and to the water of the Potomac.... More

This is a great small out of the way battlefield in Leesburg. I had an advantage since my sister lives in Leesburg, Va in the beautiful subdivision that Balls Bluff sits next too. She also gave me and my other sister who came on the trip with me a personal guided tour of Balls Bluff. My sister who lives in... More

At the battlefield you take a self guided tour unless you happend to visit on a weekend when they have interpretive tours. As you head toward the battlefield you wind your way through a residental neighborhood! The battlefield itself is right next to the Potomac River. P.S. No bathrooms are available at this park. More
