Went with friends for a tasting. Tried seven wines for $10.50. They have a nice deck with views over the river towards Sugarloaf Mountain. Looks like the winery can host other events.

We really enjoy wine tasting. Last year we vacationed in Napa and sampled some of America's best. Last weekend, we returned to Tarara for the second time and took advantage of the Sunday afternoon invitation for wine club members. Tarara has an ingenious design with the tasting room carved into the side of a hill and the owner's residence built...

My cousin and I took our mothers to this winery as part of our Mother's Day weekend adventure in Virginia Wine Country. We chose to end our trip at this winery last because of the excellent reviews it received. I will never take my mother there again, it was embarrassing.
It was the worst winery we went to the entire...

Tarara Winery
We happened upon this winery while driving to Richmond Va from Bethlehem Pa. Decided to take the scenic route and After seeing a few signs for wineries in the area, we quickly googled for the best winery to visit, and Tarara was number 1. A few seconds later (literally!) we saw the arrow for Tarara off route...

My wife and I have been here frequently since becoming wine club members over 3 years ago. We enjoy all their wines and they are priced similiarly to other VA wines (especially with the wine club 20% discount). The best benefit of membership is the Summer Concert Series where local & regional bands from a variey of genres play outside...

We joined their vine club back in Nov. 2009 and have been more than satisfied with their wines as well as the treatment we receive when we are at their winery. We will be loyal members for as long as we live in this area!

Like most NoVA wineries they have a really nice setup. Perfect for picnics, tasting room is well done. The wine is just nothing special. Go for the fun and leave the expectations that this is NAPA east at home. The summer concerts are fabulous.

Of course the wine is pleasant. Yet the tasting room is so cramped with a low ceiling. It's really a cool place for your first wine tasting, but I felt so closed in. Everyone can hear what you're saying and you can hear them. So you gotta tell yourself this is an interactive environment; it's like having Thanksgiving cocktails at...
