We went out of our way to visit this site. The facilities were very neat and clean. The museum was informative but the various exhibits needed their audio to be more confined. It was too hard to enjoy one without hearing the others that were playing in other parts of the room. The live music in the breezeway was great! More

Like most of the parkway, the folks at the Blue Ridge Music Center are hospitable, friendly, and laid back. The music center is a wonderful resource. More

They have some concerts that you have to pay entrance for if I understand correctly. However, we've mostly stopped during the day and enjoyed the free music and hiked the trails. Nice easy hiking trail and nice visitors center. More

Enjoyed a Sunday afternoon free concert while sipping local wines and nibbling local munchies. Very relaxing and beautiful location in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Only 10 miles from the Mountain Hearth Lodge in Sparta, NC More

Informative and bright self guided tour through the history of music within the region. Many music clips.....can easily loose an hour or two mooching around! We were lucky enough to be there on a day where local, national and international musicians play a lunchtime jamming session for free! Well worth a visit! More

What a wonderful experience! Do not miss the midday performers, all free shows, and such talent. The communities in this area can be so proud of their local talent. This will be a close up experience for you, not a place where the performer sits on stage and you are removed from the action. Our first trip, we sat right... More

We were driving up the parkway and saw the signs and decided to check out the Blue Ridge Music Center. The center is housed in a large plain modern building that appears quite new and clean. There was a group of about 12 musicians playing mountain style music in the breezeway and they were quite good. My electric bass playing... More

My husband and I started our exploration of the Blue Ridge Parkway at the entrance in Fancy Gap, VA. at milepost 199. The first place of interest that we stopped at was the Blue Ridge Music Center at milepost 213. We were in for a treat as we heard live music coming from an open door in the indoor auditorium....
