Took the grand kids 2 and 5, they had a great time here. They had a scavenger hunt that the 5 year old really enjoyed. We had to look at each exhibit closely to find all the items. There were several other kids there also enjoying it all. They have table set up just so kids can touch and pick...

While the museum is small, they pack a lot of information in this space. My main goal was to see Misty and Stormy, the main characters of two of my favorite childhood books. They are still enchanting, in death as in life. My husband was particularly interested in the oyster exhibit, as his father and other men in our town...

This museum is not very large but it is jam-packed with all sorts of historical information, artifacts, and natural history displays that give a good sense of the history of the area and it's rich heritage of harvesting the bounty of the sea and bays that surround the island. It is a great place to spend and hour or so!

New for 2013, there are 3 to 5 day programs run by the Museum and offered through Road...

The exhibits are fascinating, chronicling the history of...

Wonderful exhibits and really great for kids. The scavenger hunt was great fun for all. Don't miss it!
Very interesting and worth the admission cost. Don't miss it as you are going over the bridge to the Wildlife Refuge.
