The Pony Centre is a fun place to drive by and check out the local ponies. Kids can ride them in the pen, or take lessons out back. The store has tons of potential souveniers, and is a fine place to cool off and get some retail therapy!

If you visit Chincoteague with grade school aged kids or younger, you've gotta get a copy of Misty of Chincoteague to round out the educational experience and then go to the pony show. When we went, it was not crowded. Little ones sit right up near the ring and watch the ponies ride around to music and fanfare.

Pony penning week they are in a corral and ruins the fun of the whole experience. Go after August when the visitors go home and...

Museum admission alone is $5.00/person, and with a show is $10.00/person. A lot of the show is the staff introducing some resident Chincoteague ponies, then prancing and posing them for photo ops. There is also a...

As a pre-teen, I was horse-crazy and loved the Misty books. I literally felt 12 years old again during our visit to the Centre! We attended the pony show, which I recommend doing as it also provides access to the displays. I think admission for the display only was $5 and the show was $10. I would not pay simply...
