It is quite nice to visit the home to Misty of Chinoteague. Seeing the hoof prints on the kitchen floor is unique. Each year they hold a Misty Birthday party that is great. More

I was here many years ago and the ranch was great. Now it is one building run down and the stabel is run down and they said they could not be there all the time. They should let the pony Center take it over. it is a disappointment to see it this way. More

We had visited the Beebe Ranch back in 2007. When I tried to go this year, it wasn't open, and the website says it won't be open in 2011. However, the taxidermy models of Misty and Stormy are currently located at the Chincoteague Museum, on Maddox on left as you go towards Assateague. More

If you plan on visiting Chincoteague Island and you have a young daughter, please be sure to buy her the book "Misty of Chincoteague" by Marguerite Henry. When I was a young girl I read the book prior to my visit to Chincoteague, when I visited the island it was magical to see the ponies running free. When I returned... More
