Thomas Jefferson designed the campus and was the 'father' of UVA. The buildings were magnificent! More

I was visiting the University of Virginia on business, meeting with some colleagues. It was the first time I had ever been here. It is a beautiful sprawling campus, with distinctive architecture. Visiting the Rotunda is an essential part. I felt that I was in the West Wing! Definitely worth it. More

Unfortunately, we got there too late for a guided tour. However, I totally enjoyed walking around the campus and taking pictures. This is a definite must-stop especially if you tour Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. The architecture is amazing. The fact that Thomas Jefferson is the only president to ever found a university makes this a definite must see. It's worth it... More

This is a very pretty campus - it feels serene, relaxed, and beautiful. We did not do a tour, but just driving around is worth it. More

This is a college campus like no other. Go, take the tour, soak up the history and, if you're lucky, apply to attend. It's a great school and a fascinating historic place. More

My husband went to school there 40 years and every time we go back, it is more beautiful. We had the opportunity to visit one of the apartments on the Lawn down from the Rotunda. Walking around the grounds is really a nice treat More

See the grounds. All of them including the pavillions and gardens behind each. The special works library is an excellent stop, so too the walk with the philosophers stones in front of the old hospital. Darden School is a must see. More
