I was visiting the University of Virginia on business, meeting with some colleagues. It was the first time I had ever been here. It is a beautiful sprawling campus, with distinctive architecture. Visiting the Rotunda is an essential part. I felt that I was in the West Wing! Definitely worth it. More

Unfortunately, we got there too late for a guided tour. However, I totally enjoyed walking around the campus and taking pictures. This is a definite must-stop especially if you tour Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. The architecture is amazing. This is a very pretty campus - it feels serene, relaxed, and beautiful. We did not do a tour, but just driving around is worth it. More

See the grounds. All of them including the pavillions and gardens behind each. The special works library is an excellent stop, so too the walk with the philosophers stones in front of the old hospital. Darden School is a must see. More
