Tucked away in the south-central Green Mountains, this mountain is old time Vermont skiing at its best. New management is gradually transforming a dated mountain into a great skiing experience. All types of terrain from several expert trails on the west side to relaxing trails on the east side. Usually no lift lines. More

After multiple big snowstorms, Magic is the mountain that you must go to in southern Vermont. This place has some crazy terrain that you just can't find anywhere else south of Killington. Magic is a fantastic little mountain with a lot of heart. It's got fantastic, steep, challenging diamond slopes, some great blues, and nice long beginner trails. They have snowmaking (granted, not the huge capacity that nearby Stratton has, but they don't have the overpriced lift ticket, the long liftlines, or the snobby people that Stratton does either!) This mountain is one of the most underrated mountains on the east coast. It's very similar to Mad River Glen. Help Keep the Magic alive. Also the location is incorrectly marked on the map though tripadvisor refuses to change it. It shows it as being in Landgrove town center (also incorrectly placed) when it's located further East on Rt. 11... More
