I stayed at the Homestead Resort and loved it; However, are stay included a swim in the crater which we thought would be great. Upon entering the water in the crater we began to swim around and and have fun. The rules said no free diving! I didn't know trying to submerge myself under water with a life vest on... More

You're not allowed to get into the water without extremely uncomfortable life jackets. You're not allowed to put your head below the water surface... I'm surprised you're allowed to breathe. And that's after signing the most extensive waiver I've seen anywhere. Moreover, the water, while pleasantly warm, is not even that clear, far from what the crystal clarity they advertise.... More

Cool to see once but that is easily enough. Make sure you go to activity center first and sign waivers first...and not the adventure haus.

We wanted to show our out of state guests one of the attractions that Utah has to offer. What a big mistake! The check in experience was fine, although the liability waiver was excessive. The cost is also high for what you get, an hour of floating in water and being repeatedly told to stay out of the way of... More

I may have missed out on the Crater (somehow I forgot to pack my swimsuit), but the sleigh ride was a blast. The driver was friendly and informative, able to answer every question we threw at him. The main Homestead building itself is lovely and the gift shop has delicious fudge.

We (three girls) arrived at the Homestead Crater on a Thursday around 1pm. In addition to us there were around 10 people getting their final scuba diving certifications which we found interesting to observe! The employees were super helpful and friendly! The water was warm and relaxing and crystal clear! The crater itself is beautiful inside and you must check... More

When I went it was Feb. so I loved the warm mineral water. I snorkeled I didn't have my diving equipment.. I scuba dive, so I was thrilled to find this place. I want to go back and dive they have instructors who go with if you want. It's a good way to see if like diving..They also provide the... More

I saw a brief report on the Crater in Sunset Magazine. It looked cool, so we visited the last time we were in Park City. I wish we would have spent our time/money elsewhere. The crater is very very small, and the pictures/descriptions miss to point this out. There is nothing to see or do. We had to sign two... More

We decided to check out the "crater" en route from Sundance back to Park City, and are glad we did. You enter through a narrow tunnel, put on the required life jackets, then soak in the warm water in this cave-like space. I was glad we did it, although given the costs, wouldn't rush to do so again. Although worth... More

Very friendly staff offering information and history of the crater. Water is warm and although I was disappointed to learn that there is no diving/jumping in from the side and that when swimming/snorkeling, one must wear an inflatable life vest. This allows for relaxing. Our skin felt great afterwards and my brother who has quite a few skin irritations, said... More
