Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is the most scenic area in the city of Plano. However, this fact does not make it the best park in the city of Plano. That title would go the combination of Oak Point and Bob Woodruff Park. Arbor Hills should still be visited at least once by anyone in the area, but it has its... More

I've lived in Plano for several years and have yet to wholly explore Arbor Hills Preserve – it’s massive. There are plenty of trails, dirt and paved, scattered throughout. A creek, Indian Creek, runs through the park and is easily accessible. And you’ll often see couples taking portraits there. Most of the trails are now walking trails, but one intermediate... More

Great place to take a morning hike. The Texas wildflowers were still blooming during our visit. It is a great 200 acre park that offers natural hiking trails, mountain biking trails, and paved trails for walking or cycling. You can download a map as the trail guide offers a lot of detail about the animal life and vegetation you will... More

The place is called arbor hills because some of the foot paths are covered over by willow trees. Texas is hot in the summer and it is nice to be in the shade.

We're spending a couple of days in Plano, TX, to visit family and wanted to get out for a little exercise. The trails were well-maintained with lots of non-paved hikers only trails through the beautiful nature preserve. The preserve is well-used on the weekends, but there is lots of places to just enjoy the surroundings. Not a large area, but... More

Came here to bike one weekend on a pleasant day and there were several visitors. Going through the paved trails, we understood why. The facilities are clean, the trails are great for hiking or biking and there was also an off-road biking trail which was a challenge. On an elevated trail, there's a lookout point which has a good view... More

So this is THE place to go with the kids on a warm weekend day. There are lots of paved trails, a place to picnic, etc. But our very favorite, is hiking the endless trails into the woods and along the creek. So many amazing things to see and find. This one is a no brainer. However, on those nice... More

Our kids love the playground, and we love getting a walk in on the trails. There is so much to do here, and we also like bringing lunch and eating in one of the pavilions.

A refuge in the middle of a busy city. Hiking trails make you feel like you are far from people. Can get a little... ok a lot crowded on the main trails on the weekend.
